I was watching the Discovery Channel when the commercials come on and I’m just sort of zoning out when I hear someone start singing in Chinese. I look up at the screen to see an ad that looks like it should be playing on the other side of the world. Perhaps it is. I’ve never seen anything like it, a Chinese ad tweaked for a Western audience. I find this more interesting than what they are selling. On the other hand, what exactly are they selling? It’s more likely an act towards building their brand than anything else.
